Amplicon announces Impact-R 1100F computer with legacy support

September 9, 2015 – Amplicon announces Impact-R 1100F computer with legacy support for RS232/422 and RS485 communications and old operating systems like Windows XP.

Impact-R 1100F series is a completely fanless system powered by the Intel ATOM D2550 processor with a high performance 2.5” MLC Solid State Drive (SSD). With options for multiple serial communication ports, the Impact-R 1100F can offer up to a total of seven DB9 with a mixture of RS232/422 and RS485, allowing for true flexibility as well as legacy support. The rackmount PC features up to two 2.5” mechanical or solid-state drives, dual Gigabit Ethernet, VGA and HDMI at 1920 x 1200, and six USB 2.0 ports.

The Impact-R 1100F series will support a multitude of operating systems including Windows XP, Windows 7 and Linux kernel 2.6.x.
