BATS Wireless updates DVM Microwave system for hazardous areas

May 13, 2015 - BATS Wireless announced DVM ExP2 ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 certified stabilized microwave systems. Enhancements in DVM ExP2 include a fiberglass/composite-reinforced dome and a 316L stainless steel automatic all-digital Ex p purge/pressurization system (P2) that operates by monitoring and controlling the pressure within the protected, domed enclosure. These features allow the ExP2 system to effectively operate in potentially explosive oil and gas environments and protect crew and other assets in the event of an emergency shutdown situation.
With the ability to monitor, purge, pressurize, alert and cut system power to virtually any electronic component housed within the enclosure, the BATS DVM ExP2 solution offers a level of system control previously unavailable to offshore energy operators. Not only do these advanced features protect critical microwave components inside the dome, but also provide operators with a unique platform capable of hosting radios and antennas from many of the leading manufacturers – providing optimal flexibility no matter the deployment.
