DFI Introduces COM Express Carrier Boards

July 30, 2014 - DFI introduces COM Express carrier boards with 4th Generation Intel Core processors. HM961/HM960/HM920 is designed based on the Mobile Intel QM87 and Intel HM86 chipsets while HU968 is powered by a low-power ULT SoC processor. For those modules which adopt Intel QM87 chipset, they not only deliver excellent CPU performance but also feature SATA with RAID to increase read/write capabilities and data error consistence. A small-footprint module, HU968, powered by Intel Ultra-Thin solution at only 15 watt TDP is well suited for today’s intelligent systems that run 24 hours, such as healthcare equipment, As, surveillances, etc.

Intel QM87/HM86-based modules are available in Type 2 and Type 6; providing outstanding computing capability as well as flexible expansion interfaces. To meet the requirements of today’s automation applications, HM961-QM87/HM86 is particularly designed with ECC memory that provides improved data integrity and system reliability through automatic data correction.
