November 18, 2015 - The Divelbiss P-Series Bear Bones PLC family is now telematics and IoT enabled with the Divelbiss VersaCloud M2M platform. The P-Series Bear Bones PLC can communicate data to VersaCloud, where it is date/time stamped and stored in the Cloud database for later viewing, analysis, and export.

Using plug-in expansion boards, the P-Series Bear Bones PLCs have optional cellular and Wi-Fi capabilities for IoT/Telematics communications with the VersaCloud M2M platform. A GPS option is also available. Ethernet and Wi-Fi ports can be used forMODBUS TCP Server and Client communications. One CAN port is available and fully supports the SAE J1939 protocols , the NMEA2000protocols and can be used to communicate to digital I/O expansion boards and other controllers using Divelbiss OptiCAN.

Programmed using the no-cost Divelbiss EZ Ladder Toolkit inLadder Diagram, Function Block, and Structured Text, and based on P-Series PLC on a Chip technology, the P-Series Bear Bones PLC family provides maximum flexibility for interfacing to and controlling equipment, communicating with various serial bus protocols, logging system data, or adding Internet of Things (IoT) and Telematics capability to existing systems.

The P-Series Bear Bones PLCs give the user the ability to provide machine control, Data Logging and IoT /Telematics connectivity to virtually any application in the mobile, industrial, environmental, agricultural, construction, and other markets.

Featuring open-board construction, P-Series Bear Bones PLCs are mounted using industry standard standoffs and have an I/O count with 8 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs rated for 2A each, and 8 analog inputs which are user configurable as 0-5V, 0-10V, or 0-20mA. For applications that require data logging, P-Series Bear Bones PLC family solutions are available with a Real-Time-Clock, 512K of battery backed SRAM, and can accept a micro SD card.
