IBASE introduces FWA6604 network security appliance

October 8, 2014 - IBASE Technology introduces  FWA6604 compact network appliance with four Gigabit Ethernet ports based on Intel I211-AT Gigabit Ethernet controllers. The model comes in two flavors - a fanless version powered by an Intel Atom E3815, 1.46GHz processor and another one built around an Intel Celeron J1900, 2.0GHz processor.

The FWA6604 security appliance offers stable performance with low power consumption. It supports up to 4GB of DDR3L-1333 SO-DIMM memory and two LAN ports with advanced LAN bypass function.  Measuring 187mm by 115.8mm, the FWA6604 platform is suitable in multiple security applications including network intrusion prevention, VPN, content filtering, data leak prevention, as well as, unified threat management (UTM).

Already available, FWA6604 is delivered with a 40W power adaptor and optionally provided with a VGA and console cable. Expansion and storage are provided by one Mini PCI-E slot, one CF socket, one Micro SD socket and one SATA interface.
