ICP DAS Introduces PFN-2042 PROFINET I/O Module

October 14, 2014 - ICP DAS USA introduces PFN-2042, a Remote Output Module specifically designed for PROFINET networks.  It has 16-channel isolated digital outputs and is communicable over PROFINET. It can be used for various industrial applications such as Industrial Automation, Factory Automation, and Process Automation. It supports operating temperatures from -25°C ~ +75°C (-13°F ~ 167°F) and provides short-circuit protection on DO channels. It is also din rail mountable.

PFN-2042 supports PROFINET standards and can be used with other devices that follow the PROFINET protocol.  It comes with the Generic GSDML File (Version 2.25), which allows users easy access to configure it. For your convenience, ICP DAS USA provides the PFN_Tool configuration utility for users to show the firmware version, configure network parameters, and set power-on and safe values.  Users can access and configure it by using the GSDML file in any PROFINET Engineering tool.
