Industrial router and data modem via Wi-Fi into the Internet

MB Connect Line, provider of leading solutions for remote maintenance and industrial communication, extends its portfolio of industrial routers and data modems with new wireless models. Instead of a cellular modem the devices mbNET and mbSPIDER have a built-in Wi-Fi module. The routers and data modems can build up the connection to the Internet via a Wi-Fi access point, if a wired network is not available or shall not be used. For large new plants, the implementation of a Wi-Fi is more less expensive than installing new cables. Even mobile elements of the plant such as cranes can be connected via Wi-Fi easily. Using the wireless connection, the user has all options open that the remote service platform mbCONNECT24 provides – data acquisition, web based visualization, supervision with alarming, remote maintenance and M2M communication. The Wi-Fi supports IEEE 802.11B/n/g with up to 150 MBit/s.
