INSYS introduces IMON-U300 wireless fault transmitter

November 17, 2015 - INSYS introduces IMON-U300 wireless fault transmitters that feature a LAN interface, two serial ports (RS232, RS485) and two digital inputs and outputs and can connect to 2G and 3G networks for monitoring controllers, Modbus TCP/RTU devices and I/Os.

Licenses for Modbus TCP/RTU and Siemens LOGO! mini-controllers are included. An additional license for monitoring S7 controllers is available on request. For US customers, INSYS icom supplies the IMON-U310 with adapted frequencies.

IMON-U300 is equipped with a monitoring app that enables automatic status notifications (text message, e-mail or SNMP) in case of pre-defined events. These notifications can be configured via logical links. The app can also be used to trigger pre-defined actions, such as starting or stopping a controller or switching an output. For customised applications, e.g. data recording, data evaluation, protocol conversion or simple control tasks, the fault transmitter's embedded Linux system provides users with a safe sandbox environment featuring 150 MB permanently assigned memory. An integrated web server for remote access as well as for use on site enables comfortable device configuration and displays selected values and registers.

Notably, the fault transmitter also supports central management and visualisation of application data via cloud services such as Cumulocity or Telekom Cloud der Dinge. The IMON-U300 features an integrated firewall and VPN functionality to ensure secure data transmission. The device comes pre-configured for the optional VPN service INSYS Connectivity Service.
