January 22, 2015 - Knick:announces ProLine P 44000 temperature transmitter for Pt100 resistance thermometers in high-voltage environments. ProLine P 44000 is a high-end Pt100 transmitter for monitoring the winding temperature of electric motors, generators, transformers, or the like.

The output signal is galvanically isolated from the input signal and the voltage supply. The isolation is designed for working voltages of up to 6 kV AC/DC. The test voltage during routine testing is 15 kV AC.

The transmitter converts the resistance of a two or four wire Pt100 resistance thermometer into a 4-20 mA signal with a low measurement error of just ± 1 K (typically ± 0.5 K) and short T90 delay time of 100 ms. Vacuum encapsulation protects the circuit against environmental influences and ensures that the extraordinary isolation properties are maintained over time.

ProLine P 44000 is suitable for ambient temperatures between -40 and 85 °C. The product line covers the standard ranges of 0-150 °C, 0-200 °C, and 0-300 °C. To suit different standards, ProLine P 44000 is available with 67.5 or 22.5 mm wide housings. Delivery includes a VariPower broad-range power supply for all standard supply voltages from 20 to 253 V AC/DC to ensure safe operation even with unstable power grids.
