PULS Reliable DIN-Rail Power Supplies for Mid-Market Applications

November 13, 2014 - PULS, the high-end specialist for DIN-Rail power supplies, now extends its product range to new market segments. Applying new concepts from design to manufacturing the PIANO series offers reliability, life-time and efficiency figures usually available only at more expensive products.

Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) figures are as high as 1.5 million hours, minimum life expectancy is typically specified at 40,000hrs. Efficiency figures vary from 90.5% up to 94.5% and the width on the DIN-Rail is only 49mm for a 240W convection cooled power supply. Thus it is in the same size as more costly products in the market.

Robust even for demanding applications the units can operate from -25°C up to +55°C without any power derating or additional cooling. Assembly is simply done by clicking the units on a standard DIN-Rail, large terminals allow easy wiring and the DC-OK signal can be used to monitor the output voltage

Currently available are 24V/5A and 24V/10A models for input voltages from 200-240V. Additional products suitable for all global input voltages from 100V-240V will be available in Q1/2015. The new PIANO series allows users to save on costs without compromising on the benefits of a reliable, efficient and easy-to-use power supply.
