Schaefer introduces TERa ac-dc power supplies

January 15, 2015 -  Schaefer introduces TERa low-profile series of advanced thermal technology ac-dc power supplies. The TERa family offers three output power classes of 700, 1200 and 2000 Watts that are sealed in a heat conducting potting material. Featuring a wide temperature range of –50ºC to 85ºC these units are a good solution for space critical projects that demand reliable and shock resistant performance in the harshest operating conditions.

All models are designed for easy-to-connect parallel/series operation if higher power or redundancy is needed. Other features include high power density, Power Factor Correction (PFC), 100-242VAC universal inputs, galvanic isolation, high efficiency, full complement of protections, single or multi-output operation, output voltage adjustment and compliance to EN55022 Class A (Class B with filter). Additionally, each unit goes also through comprehensive temperature cycling and burn-in. Optional cooper case and terminal  block connections are available.

Applications include industrial automation, communications, rail/transit, oil/gas, utility, alternative energy and COTS military systems.
