June 28, 2016 – Schneider Electric, a specialist in energy management and automation, announced the launch of the Altivar Process 900 range. The updated range includes a solution for energy-intensive applications in the Oil & Gas and Mining, Minerals & Metals sectors.

The Altivar Process 900 range is available for 230V and 460V supply in stand-alone drive modules through 250HP. Drive Systems versions will be available later this year through 900HP.

Altivar Process drives provide advanced operational intelligence to plant operations and process professionals, while offering embedded guidance for operations and maintenance personnel. These standard features help to optimize business performance by reducing commissioning time and significantly improving production uptime. In addition, Altivar Process is designed to stringent reliability and sustainability standards to ensure long operating life and industry leading energy optimization during production lowering operating costs.

Altivar Process is a drive offer designed to provide meaningful and timely information to industry specialists, such as petroleum engineers or mining engineers, using terminology and graphics familiar to these professionals rather than simply speaking the language of drives specialists. The drive connects to the industrial network, delivering process information directly to users. This helps optimize each industrial process, whether it’s a conveyor belt in a mine, pump for an oil well or process crane in a steelworks.

Altivar Process is able to communicate real-time data through built-in internet connectivity. This allows staff to adjust their operations, reducing energy usage and improving production outputs.
