Online Robotics Training Program

This self-paced, interactive Robotics Technician Certificate training program offers an easy-to-use home study format that requires a computer and internet connection to complete. The robotics simulation software, RoboLogix, is provided with the program and converts your computer into a simulated industrial robot, complete with 3D learning environments such as manufacturing plants and control systems. The CD-ROM based multimedia program is divided into 13 modules, each consisting of about ten sections, or major topics. Typical completion time for the program is 28 weeks. There are no pre-set, scheduled completion times, which allow you to complete the course material at a rate that you are comfortable with.

The Robotics Technician training program introduces the concepts of industrial robots and explains how they can be used in a plant or manufacturing system. The primary focus of the program is on automated manufacturing processes, as well as the role of robots and all of their support equipment. Students receive both theoretical and laboratory instruction through a combination of multimedia learning resources and a robotics simulation software package to allow for the programming, testing, and debugging of robot-control programs. Areas of study include motion programming, palletizing, conveyor systems, computer networking, automated sorting systems, vision and tactile sensors and computer integration.

Robotics training is offered from George Brown College a fully accredited college, and world-leader in Distance Education. For information and a Free Information package call 1-888-553-5333.
