About Bill Lydon

Bill is a business development consultant working with various companies in the controls and automation field. In addition Bill speaks on Industrial Building Automation at industry events and is currently writing a book on Industrial Building Automation for the ISA organization www.isa.org.  In addition Bill is the Managing Director of PLCopen North America and industry trade group promoting the IEC 61131 open architecture control standard. www.PLCopen-NA.org.

Bill Lydon has been active in the Building Automation and industrial controls for over 25 years. Bill joined Johnson Controls in 1973 in the early days Building Automation Systems. Along the way Bill was a member of a five person skunk works for two years developing a new line a building automation and direct Digital Control products. Later Bill was product manager for all Building Automation products at JCI. After leaving Johnson Bill co-founded and ran a software company providing object oriented industrial control software.
