HARTING garnered the award from DESIGN&ELEKTRONIK trade magazine in the electromechanics category for its ix Industrial connector. The connector was jointly developed by the Espelkamp-based family-owned business together with Japan’s HIROSE technology group and placed on the market.

HARTING announces groundbreaking of new European Distribution Center facility

The core components of the new EDC are the 20m-high high-bay warehouse and the highly automated picking. The high-bay warehouse’s area of 4,500 square meters offers space for 6,500 pallets and around 120,000 warehouse containers and is operated fully automatically and in a paperless way, among others by employing RFID technology.

Harting sponsored another drive with VW and professional driver Rainer Zietlow. The goal this time: to climb the highest, still passable road on the volcano Uturuncu in Bolivia using a VW ID.4 GTX. Zietlow ascended 5,816 meters above sea-level, the maximum altitude of the road, and set a new Guinness World Records title for electric vehicles.
