January 28, 2014 — AAEON announces AEC-6523 fanless embedded computer, powered by the Intel Atom N2600 Dual Core 1.6GHz processor and Intel NM10 chipset. The AEC-6523 is able to operate without airflow at a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 70°C. With static protected isolation, and one mini-card slot for expansion, it makes the AEC-6523 suitable for performance demanding applications for harsh environments such as industrial automation, steel making factories, outdoor labs, power plants, building automation and environment monitoring applications. The AEC-6523 comes with two DDR3 800/1066 MHz SODIMM slots to support a maximum of 2GB memory.
Featuring one 2.5’ SATA 2 (3.0Gb/s) HDD drive bay, together with a CFast slot for storage, four USB2.0, two Gigabit LAN ports, three RS-232 ports on the rear, wide DC-in of 9~30V input for power supply together with voltage protection makes the AEC-6523 suitable for operations in extreme environments with unstable power supply. As for OS support, the AEC-6523 offers solutions of Fedora Core 14, Windows XP Pro 32-bit, Windows 7 32-bit and Windows Embedded Standard 32-bit.
