July 25, 2008 - Aaxeon releases the FCU-3012SFP Gigabit Media Converter. The FCU-3012SFP has been designed to meet the application where the customer needs to connect a legacy 10/100TX network with a 1000TX network over fiber. Most manufacturers of media converters only offer a 1000TX to 1000SX/LX product, which may not work with a legacy 10/100TX network. The FCU-3012SFP has been designed to maintain gigabit speeds on the fiber port, but negotiate speed on the copper port as required. Features of the FCU-3012SFP include:
- 10/100/1000TX Auto negotiation
- 1000SX or 1000LX support via standard SFP port
- Store and forward switch architecture
- Q in Q Double VLAN Tag support
- Link Fault Alarm
- Jumbo Frame to 9728 bytesThe FCU-3012SFP can either be used as a stand alone media converters or it can be mounted in our 16 slot 19” rack, the FCU-RACK16.In addition to the FCU-3012SFP Aaxeon offers a full line of stand alone media converters, 19” rack mounted converters, a Managed Media Converter System, and DIN Rail mountable Industrial media converters, all with multimode, single mode and WDM options.
