August 15, 2007 - Aaxeon Technologies released two Serial to Fiber Converters under the Devolinx product line. The FIB1-SRLM-SC002 and FIB1-SRLS-SC030 provide fiber solutions that can extend serial RS-232/422/485 transmission distance up to 2km over Multi-Mode fiber or up to 30km over Single-Mode Fiber. With its multiple interface circuits, connection to RS-232, RS-423, or RS-422/485 (2 or 4 wire) is made simple. The FIB1-SRLM-SC002 and FIB1-SRLS-SC030 also secures data transmission over EMI resistant fiber, improving the reliability of transmission. The converters can easily transmit at speeds up to 256kbps with RS-232 or up to 1024kbps with RS-422/485.
