ABB enhances ServicePRO maintenance software
ServicePRO2.0 adds PartsPRO capability to define system spares and maintenance kits.

May 30, 2010 – ABB released ServicePRO2.0. This latest version of ServicePRO adds the new PartsPRO capability to define system spares and maintenance kits for client sites for the ABB equipment installed. ServicePRO can be applied to all ABB industries.ServicePRO is an interactive PC-based software solution featuring ABB’s best maintenance practices for Improved Reliability, Increased Return on Assets and Consistent Service Compliance throughout the ABB equipment lifecycle.

ServicePRO is included as a central part of ABB delivered Maintenance Services Contracts to ensure a world-class maintenance process with measurable results. The PartsPRO capability defines system spares by ABB subsystem. Maintenance kits are scheduled as Preventive Maintenance Work Orders (PMWO) at the recommended 6, 9, 12 months, 5, 10 year intervals. This enables the service team to replace a suspect part during a routine outage rather than an unplanned shutdown at a much higher cost. PartsPRO also provides Lifecycle Reporting for ABB subsystems with color coded reports designating dates and lifecycle status of active, classic, limited and obsolete to better plan future system upgrades.

ServicePRO 2.0 includes new libraries for ABB Drives, 800xA Health Check, and Mining and Minerals Library with updates for existing QCS Profiler and Master OCS libraries that define best practice Preventive Maintenance Work Orders. A new ProcessPROTM module defines Process Work Orders designed to deliver optimal process performance.Dan Overly, subBU Manager, Lifecycle Services, Process Automation Service, is responsible for the implementation of PA Service’s Lifecycle Services strategy. “ServicePRO forms the hub for delivering world-class maintenance services.

With our ServicePRO expanded user base we have received feedback to make major improvements with our release of ServicePRO 2.0. PartsPRO enables the service team to replace a suspect part during a routine outage rather than an unplanned shutdown, thereby saving our client’s money. Plant mangers benefit from ServicePRO and PartsPRO because it gives them the reporting they need to proactively manage their operations.”ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact.

The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 120,000 people.
