ABB extends the power range of ACS800 drives
ABB is offering the same power ratings of ACS800-U1 in a cabinet version in the ACS800-U7 and ACS800-07.

June 13, 2010 - Some time ago, ABB introduced the power extension with the ACS800-U1 series that allowed the R6 frame size to extend up to 200 HP, as a wall-mounted product. Now, ABB is offering these same power ratings in a cabinet version in the ACS800-U7 and ACS800-07.

The R6 frame size fully covers the product range previously offered in the R7, so ABB will be phasing out the R7 sizes from the standard product line. The R6 frame-size cabinet is 16 inches narrower than R7 frame size, so the size reduction is 50% -- from 32.7 inches to 16.9.”

This enables end users to fit the cabinet in smaller floor spaces – and makes it easy for customers to save in installations costs.ABB Inc., Automation Technologies, Automation Products, Low-Voltage Drives, is the world's largest manufacturer of electric motors and drives.
