ABB Instrumentation announces Asset Vision Professional
An upgrade to the existing ABB Asset Master, Asset Vision offers full-featured device management and asset optimization.

September 30, 2009 - ABB Instrumentation enhanced its SMART VISION and Asset Master products with Asset Vision. The offering, which is Windows-based, runs on a stand-alone desktop or laptop PC. Asset Vision Professional, an upgrade to the existing ABB Asset Master, offers full-featured device management and asset optimization. It was developed to incorporate the following new added functionality:

  • increases the number of connected PROFIBUS and HART multiplexer devices
  • allows users to simultaneously configure and monitor all devices
  • supports asset condition report printouts.Asset Vision Professional is derived from ABB’s System 800xA control system architecture.

This enables customers to start with Asset Vision Professional as a compact configuration and monitoring tool that can readily upgrade to a full System 800xA.

Existing installations of Asset Master will automatically receive Asset Vision Professional as an upgrade, enabling these users to continue to perform online and offline device configuration, parameter setting functions, online monitoring and tuning, diagnostic alert response, asset monitoring, calibration management, and integral work order processing.

ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact.
