PEMBROKE, MA – ACS Machine Controls is please to announce the development and release of the new Programmable Machine Controller PMC-328. The PMC-328 is a simple and cost effective solution for the stand-alone control and power of any stepping motor driven machine. The PMC-328 powers, drives and controls any 2 or 4 phase stepping motor with phase currents of up to 3Amps. The PMC-328 can be controlled from a host computer using a standard serial cable, or 100 lines of control programming can be loaded into its internal non-volatile memory for autonomous operation.

Housed in a 50.8 x 96.5 x 223.5mm mountable enclosure the PMC-328’s internal 48 Volt DC power runs from 115 or 230, 50-60Hz supply voltage making it a truly integrated motor driver/controller solution.Motor resolution is programmable up to 8 ministeps per full motor step. 8 General purpose I/O lines, 1 general purpose up/down counter, 2 limit inputs, 2 jog inputs, home and run program inputs afford engineers control flexibility.

The PMC-328 comes with ACS’s ControlSmartStep graphical programming software for ease of use. The PMC-328 is addressable, and up to 26 PMC-328 driver/controllers can be daisy chained for multi-axis, multi-motor system integration.Advanced Control Systems designs and manufactures stepping motor drivers, integrated driver/controllers and standalone programmable machine controllers for scientific and industrial applications.
