Cincinnati, Ohio (May 19, 2004) – Advantech Corporation, Industrial Automation Group has released its 2004 eAutomation Solution Guide. The 2004 Solution Guide provides information on how Advantech hardware and software tools can assist system integrators everywhere with their building and machine automation needs. The 2004 Advantech eAutomation Solution Guide is dedicated to bringing you inclusive coverage of Advantech’s most updated solutions and products. All the latest products are divided into four major product divisions: HMI & Industrial Computing Platform, Industrial I/O, Industrial Communication, and eAutomation.

The 2004 Advantech eAutomation Solution Guide also provides real-world applications for Advantech products with detailed outlines of how products are integrated into industrial systems. Examples include factory automation, facility management systems, environmental monitoring systems, intelligent transport systems, machine automation, automatic test equipment, HMI design-to-order service, and industrial video surveillance. New products introduced in 2004 include an updated Touch Panel Computer line with more powerful processors and more expansion capabilities, most at a lower price than 2003 models. The Industrial Panel Computers/Workstation line has three new products added to it, including a 17” SXGA TFT LCD system that supports Pentium’s 3.06 GHz Pentium 4 processor.

As far as additions to the industrial communication line is concerned, Advantech has added a new line of isolated digital I/O solutions, several serial universal PCI cards, a new line of automatic test equipment cards, new PC-based motion control cards, and new 3U Compact PCI Solutions. More exciting products for 2004 include additions to the Universal Network Controller (UNO) line, including the UNO-3062 with its front-access, wall-mountable form-factor. New remote data acquisition and control modules, including the ADAM-4022T dual-loop PID controller are also featured.
