November 4, 2012 - The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech released 17 additional serial communication cards with1, 2, 4 and 8 ports that use the PCI interface and come with a low profile form factor and surge, EFT, and isolation protection.
They all have a universal PCI connector that is compatible with both 3.3 V and 5 V signaling. The serial input speed of the cards reach up to 921.6kbps, with support for any baud rate, and can be manually configured by the user to meet their own needs. Cards with RS-485 also provide Automatic Direction Control for enhanced data transmission.
To give the user a greater confidence, these new PCI cards come with a five year warranty and support operating systems 32/64 bit Windows 2000/XP/ Vista/ 7, Windows CE 5.0/6.0, Linux and QNX.
