ALVA Industries and Copley Controls are partnering at SPS 2025, to demonstrate the integration of Alva’s SlimTorqframeless motors with Copley’s Accelnet BPL-090-30 servo drive.

TRONDHEIM, Norway / MASSACHUSETTS, USA, Nov. 18, 2025 – Following their successful joint showcase at Automatica earlier this year, ALVA Industries (ALVA) and Copley Controls (Copley) are partnering once again, this time at SPS 2025, to demonstrate the seamless integration of Alva’s SlimTorqframeless motors with Copley’s Accelnet BPL-090-30 servo drive.

The demo, available in Alva’s booth (Hall 3, Booth 259), highlights a fully operational motion system combining zero-cogging torque performance from Alva’s SlimTorq motor with Copley’s advanced servo control technology. Together, they deliver a motion control solution engineered for unmatched smoothness, responsiveness and integration flexibility, ideal for robotics, automation and precision machinery.

“At Copley Controls, we are committed to delivering precision servo drive solutions that enable high-performance motion ecosystems. We are thrilled to demonstrate how our compatibility with Alva’s motors gives customers a streamlined path to world-class servo performance backed by two trusted industry partners,” said Ryan LaVoie, director of Product Management & Marketing at Copley Controls.

“It’s a pleasure to once again team up with Copley at SPS,” said Anton Franzén, Director of Product Management & Application Engineering at Alva Industries. “Together, we’re showing how easily our SlimTorq motor integrates with Copley’s servo drive to deliver a compact, powerful motion solution.”

At the heart of the demo is Alva’s SlimTorq motor series, designed for applications demanding low cogging, high torque density and compact integration. Its frameless, slotless architecture and large through-hole offer maximum design flexibility for robotics, gimbals and medical systems.

Driving the setup is the Copley Accelnet BPL-090-30, a DC-powered servo drive that delivers up to 15 A continuous current with precise control across position, velocity and torque modes. Supporting CANopen DS-402, multiple feedback options and CME 2 software for fast commissioning, the BPL represents a robust solution for embedded motion control applications.
