Applied Robotics Appoints Serfilippi President

John Serfilippi was appointed President and Interim Chief Executive Officer upon the retirement of Michael F. Quinn, effective August 1st, 2014.

August 1, 2014 – Applied Robotics appointed John Serfilippi as President and Interim Chief Executive Officer upon the retirement of Michael F. Quinn, P.E. effective August 1st, 2014.

Quinn, who joined Applied Robotics, Inc. after 45 years of senior management and technical experience at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory supporting the US Naval Nuclear Program, has played a substantial leadership role in reshaping ARI for long term success. "Applied Robotics will benefit from John’s expertise and dedication to the employees and company as well as his strong commitment to the success and growth of ARI and our joint venture in Europe, ARE. I am absolutely confident the company is in good hands,” said Quinn. Serfilippi has over thirty years of corporate experience, seven years with ARI, and until recently was the Director of Operations.

Serfilippi brings a broad-based experience to the position which includes engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing management. “Mike certainly upped the bar in strategic planning, system engineering, and root-cause analysis and we wish him all the best," said John Serfilippi. “I am passionate about the huge potential for the automation industry and Applied Robotics’ ability to harness that potential for our customers, employees, and shareholders. I see much opportunity in General Industry and new business partnerships,” commented John Serfilippi upon his appointment.
