December 18, 2007 - AR Infotek announces the "Teak 5010" for Internet Security Applications such as SSL VPN, Firewall, Load Balance, Intrusion Detection, etc. The Teak 5010 runs with Intel Pentium M / Celeron M processor which produces high performance but only consumes very low power. The Teak 5010 is also fully compatible with various Windows operation systems such as Windows XP/2000/XP Embedded/WinCE and Linux operation systems such as Red Hat, Fedora, and FreeBSD. With the Intel 915GM as North Bridge and ICH6-M as South Bridge chipsets, the Teak 5010 can support Intel Pentium M / Celeron M processors with 400/533MHz and front side bus up to 2.0GHz.
This newly developed powerful 1U appliance also has two channels of DDRII Memory which can support up 1.5G of RAM without ECC. The appliance supports up to 4 PCI-E I/F Intel 82573L GbE LAN controller and 4 PCI I/F Intel 82551ER 10/100 Mbit LAN controller and both LAN port sets are with one pair of bypass LAN ports. With total up to 8 LAN ports (4 x Gbps + 4 x 10/100 FE) the Teak 5010 can have various combinations to meet variety of different requests.
The Teak 5010 can be booted from an internal Compact Flash Disk-On-Chip flash module, and also has a drive bay for a 2.5-inch hard drive with either IDE or SATA support. It also supports a 2 x 20 LCM Display with four control buttons on the front panel which allows users to design the configuration as they desire.
