ARC Advisory Group is calling for those working in industrial manufacturing to take the COVID-19 Impact for Industrial Manufacturers survey. COVID-19 has been affecting the industrial world for more than a year now, so ARC Advisory Group would like to determine how industrial manufacturers and operations are managing the impact. Take this short survey, which will pose questions regarding how the pandemic is affecting your people, technology and processes and what strategies businesses are applying to reduce the impact of the situation. After taking the survey, respondents will receive an aggregate of other responses.

Take the Covid-19 Impact for Industrial Manufacturers Survey here. ARC issued a similar survey in 2020 that found that overall, companies were seeking to keep employees and their families safe while maintaining business continuity. Every company faced challenges and uncertainty, and no two responded exactly the same way, but “most survey respondents have been investigating new digital technologies and new approaches to support remote workers, increase manufacturing and product flexibility, and meeting supply chain challenges,” Janice Abel wrote. The following graph shows that survey results indicated 42% of companies surveyed experienced a 20-30% drop in revenue, while 10% experienced more than a 30% drop in revenue.

The chart below shows examples of how respondents said their companies were fighting back against the pandemic. Companies allowed employees to work remotely if they were able to; supported and protected employees with sanitation and travel bans; enforced quarantines and social distancing; allowed remote access to operations; and provided free software licenses.
