September 18, 2008 – Arista Corporation announced the BoxPC Computer Series with single PCI expandability and either an energy efficient 1.5GHz VIA C7 (BoxPC 108A) or high horsepower 3.0 GHz Pentium 4 (BoxPC 108K), both with an 800MHz FSB. BoxPC 108 series is designed to give developers fast, convenient and simplified solutions for industrial and embedded applications. The industrial design, rugged features and powerful computing technology delivers flexibility and reliability for a diverse range of applications.
BoxPC 108A Product Features
The BoxPC 108A features an all metal, wall mountable chassis which is industrial designed for rugged applications. Inside, the BoxPC 108A utilizes a low power 1.5GHz VIA C7 Processor 800MHZ FSB and up to 1GB of DDR400 DIMM RAM at 266/333/400MHz. The 108A configuration comes equip with up to a 120GB 5400 RPM SATA HDD with RAID 1/0 configurations available.
The BoxPC 108A offers superior connectability with its dual Gigabit 10/100/1000M Ethernet ports, six USB 2.0 ports, four RS-232 COM ports, two RS 232-422/485 COM port, independent VGA port, one LPT printer port, KB/MS ports, audio connectors and one PCI expansion slot. The BoxPC 108A comes standard with a CD-RW / DVD-ROM disc drive and can be upgraded to a DVD/CD-RW. The BoxPC 108A comes standard with Windows XP.
BoxPC 108K Product Features
The BoxPC 108K features an all metal wall mountable chassis which is industrial designed for rugged applications. Inside, the BoxPC 108k utilizes a powerful 3.0GHz Pentium-4 Processor with 800MHZ FSB and up to 1GB of DDR400 DIMM RAM at 266/333/400MHz.
The 108K configuration comes equip with up to a 120GB 5400 RPM SATA HDD with RAID 1/0 configurations available.The BoxPC 108K offers enhanced graphics and superior connectability with an onboard Intel® 82865G video card, dual Ethernet ports, up to three VGA ports, six USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232 COM ports, one RS 232-422/485 COM port, one LPT printer port, audio connectors and one PCI expansion slot. The unit is also available with a Combo DVD/CD-RW drive and 1.44MB FDD drive.
The BoxPC 108K comes standard with Windows XP.
Panel Computing Addition
The BoxPC 108 series is designed for maximum flexibility. While the BoxPC 108 units are designed for wall mount applications, these new models can also be applied to Arista’s ARP1700 Series Panel Computers. The ARP 1700 Series Panel Computers are a modular panel computer series which allow for the seamless combination of Arista ADM 1500 Series monitors in 15”, 17”, 19” and 20”, and Arista's full range of Industrial BoxPC models.
