Because the socket of the 1008S is welded to the case, the gauge is stronger, more durable and resist leakage should liquid-fill be required.
The 40mm and 50mm case sizes feature all-stainless steel construction (case, ring, Bourdon tube and socket) to further battle corrosion.The Type 1009 Duralife® gauge represents another technical breakthrough. Duralife 1009 gauges represent the finest in gauge technology for vibration and pulsation applications. Pressure ranges from vacuum to 15,000 psi, including compound, are available.
Because the socket is welded to the case, the gauge is stronger and more durable.The Duralife 1009 also has True Zero indication. The gauge has no stop pin so you can tell, at a glance, when pressure is truly at zero.
