Automation Systems Interconnect Inc. (ASI), located in Carlisle, PA, announces the release of an innovative new line of labor saving insulation displacement contact (IDC) terminal blocks. The ASI line of IDC terminal blocks can be wired in one-third the time of standard screw clamp terminal blocks and they mount on the same standard DIN rail. The IDC terminal blocks are available in two styles. The NCS style is a feed through terminal block with insulation displacement contacts on both sides, which can accept up to a 16 AWG wire.

The NCV style has an insulation displacement connection on one side and a screw clamp connection of the other side of the terminal block. The NCS and NCV terminal blocks have been designed to significantly reduce the amount of time required to wire a product and accomplish it with nothing more than a screwdriver. In addition, the NCS and NCV terminal blocks have been designed to allow for removal and replacement of wires without affecting the integrity of the connection point for over 50 termination cycles. Rated at 600 Volts, 15 Amps the products have numerous international approvals including UL and CSA, and come in a standard 94 VO material.
