The combined IFS/Atrion solution provides dynamic regulatory content, applications, and services which integrate product life cycle compliance into an ERP systems

December 21, 2008 - IFS announces that Atrion International joined the IFS Global Software Partner Program. This means Atrion’s Product Compliance solution can be integrated with IFS Applications, enabling IFS customers to automate and streamline product compliance across the entire Product Life Cycle.IFS and Atrion have already collaborated over the years to meet customer needs. The integrated solution is a proven offering, with many successful implementations for a number of companies including Akzo Nobel, Becker Acroma and Willamette Valley Company.Atrion's unique integration of product compliance and technological expertise provides a strategic business process that addresses changing regulatory requirements imposed on formula-based process industries.

Atrion’s solution makes it easy to follow and stay up to date with legislative requirements for instance with the control, labeling, and classification of chemicals – from the development stage to sales. The combined IFS/Atrion solution provides customers with dynamic regulatory content, applications, and services which integrate product life cycle compliance into their enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, automating the processing of material compliance information. The agreement also means IFS specialists will support the integrations and Atrion and IFS will participate in a number of other joint marketing and sales programs.

“By working with partners like Atrion International, we are able to offer our customers a wider choice of business functionality and enable them to become more agile,” IFS Solution Partner Director Ulf Annas said. “It is possible for us to collaborate closely with our software partners because IFS Applications is based on a service-oriented architecture, making it possible for partners’ components to easily integrate.” “Our partner strategy at Atrion focuses on establishing strong, long-term relationships with a select number of leading technology, regulatory, and consulting organizations that share a deep commitment to customer success,” Atrion President and Chief Executive Officer Patrick J. Lavoie said.

“We look forward to a successful partnership with IFS as we work together on various go-to-market strategies that will enable companies to minimize health and environmental impacts of hazardous chemical substances throughout the product life cycle.”One company that has already realized benefits from IFS and Atrion is Willamette Valley of Eugene, Ore. According to Willamette Valley CIO Gerald Nakamura, integrating a comprehensive enterprise suite with a specialized compliance tool may be the smartest strategy for chemical manufacturers in today’s environment. “Our work with IFS and Atrion reinforces the importance of integration provided by both these companies who have helped us embrace a cohesive IT strategy,” Nakamura said.

“We have seen measurable success in achieving production efficiencies, resolving non-compliance, reducing compliance costs, delivering best practices and knowledge sharing. As an early adopter we have seen how IFS Applications, integrated with Atrion’s EH&S system, have helped deliver marked performance improvements. This was one of my better integrations with IFS. Right when we hooked it up, it worked out of the box.”
