Autodesk acquires iLogic Technology

Autodesk completed the acquisition of iLogic software and related technology from Canada-based Logimetrix, Inc.

December 22, 2008 - Autodesk completed the acquisition of iLogic software and related technology from Canada-based Logimetrix, Inc. Autodesk announced its intent to acquire the iLogic desktop design automation technology on December 2, 2008. Terms were not disclosed.The acquisition supports Autodesk's commitment to providing a comprehensive Digital Prototyping solution to manufacturers of all sizes, giving them the ability to design, visualize and simulate their products before they are built, reducing the reliance on constructing multiple physical prototypes.The addition of the iLogic technology will strengthen the Autodesk solution for Digital Prototyping by bringing user-friendly tools for rules-based design and automation to mainstream manufacturers.
