Semiconductor devices are an essential part of our daily life. Without integrated circuits, we would not have computers and smartphones. And without newer and even more sophisticated device technology, recent breakthroughs in internet speeds as well as assisted driving would not be possible. Many of these devices are not only electronic, but are interacting with, or creating, light.

Automated testing is key to ensuring semiconductor devices with the highest reliability. It is becoming an integral part of the manufacturing both at the front-end (wafer level) and in the backend (packaging and assembly). A large number of variables can be reduced by implementing automatic testing equipment (ATE) including, but not limited to, wafer uniformity, device performance as derived from consistent and error-free inspection, and binning. Cubatic has extensive experience in this area and our wafer-handling system ensures exact and speedy delivery of wafers into, and out of, inspection and test stations.
