September 16, 2014 - Avalue Technology introduces the 3.5” board ECM-QM87R, EPIC board EPI-QM87R and System-on-module ESM-QM87R which are based on the 4th generation Intel Core Haswell–Refresh i5/i3 Processors and the mobile Intel QM87 Express chipset. Compared with the 4th generation Intel Core processor family, the Haswell–Refresh i5/i3 Processors shows improvements in performance and clock speed.
ECM-QM87R supports one 204-pin DDR3L SODIMM memory with up to 8GB DDR3 1333/1600 SDRAM, offers a multiplicity of I/O involving 1 x RS-232, 1 x RS-232/ 422/ 485, 2 x SATA III, 1x Mini PCIe supporting mSATA expansion, 6 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0 and 4-bit GPI, 4-bit GPO among others. ECM-QM87R has dual Gigabit Ethernet: 1x Intel I210AT Gigabit Ethernet Controller & 1x Intel I217LM Gigabit Ethernet PHY, dual-channel 18/ 24-bit LVDS interface and supports three displays with resolutions of VGA mode: 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz, HDMI mode: 4000 x 2000 @ 25Hz and LVDS mode: 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.
Audio interface is provided with 1x Realtek ALC892 Supporting 5.1-CH HD codec. ECM-QM87R supports Intel Active Management Technology 9.0 for managing and securing PCs. ECM-QM87R is focusing on portable equipment, industrial HMIs, security and surveillance, digital Signage, retail, medical and in-vehicle infotainment.

ESM-QM87R has 1x Intel I217LM Gigabit Ethernet, dual-channel 18/ 24-bit LVDS interface and supports three independent displays as VGA + LVDS + DDI with resolutions of VGA mode: 1920 x 2000 @ 60Hz and LVDS mode: 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz.
Audio interface is provided with 1x Intel QM87 express integrated HD audio. ESM-QM87R supports +9 ~ +19V wide range power input suitable for variety environments use.
