Axens will become a sub-licensor of Invensys Operations Management’s SimSci-Esscor PRO/II software.

April 12, 2011 - Invensys Operations Management announced that Axens, based in Rueil-Malmaison, France, will become a sub-licensor of Invensys Operations Management’s SimSci-Esscor PRO/II software, a steady-state process simulator used to design, analyze and improve chemical processes. “This partnership will reinforce our presence in the worldwide petrochemical and refining industries, providing users of Axens’ web-based process operations simulator solution—webPOS—with the highest level of optimized technology,” said Tobias Scheele, vice president, advanced applications, Invensys Operations Management.

“As partners, Axens will embed our PRO/II simulation software into its customized webPOS, outfitting it for steady-state simulation that will help customers achieve productivity excellence.” Invensys Operations Management’s PRO/II software will be delivered within the framework of the Axens webPOS, which provides operations and process engineers the tools needed to perform several functions, including off-line engineering studies to monitor the impact of operating variables and feed quality on product yields and qualities; evaluating bottlenecks for new feedstock or new product quality requirements; and making strategic and operational decisions regarding production and product distribution.

The easy-to-use interface can be accessed through any internet browser, eliminating the need for installation on customers’ equipment and ensuring that the webPOS solution is continually updated.
