Axiom Analytical announces analyzer system design and integration service

02 March, 2009

Service encompasses near-infrared (NIR), mid-infrared, UV-Visible, and Raman spectroscopy.

March 2, 2009 - Axiom Analytical is now offering system integration services tailored to the needs of both end-users and instrument manufacturing companies needing to expand from the laboratory market into the rapidly growing field of on-line process analysis. The new offering encompasses the fields of near-infrared (NIR), mid-infrared, UV-Visible, and Raman spectroscopy and takes advantages of Axiom’s twenty years experience providing uniquely robust process sampling equipment for each of these fields.

By combining its hardware expertise with the process analytical software capabilities of its sister company, Symbion Systems, Inc., Axiom can provide total process analytical solutions including sample interfacing, fiber-optic multiplexing, instrument control, multivariate analysis (chemometrics), statistical process control (SPC), plotting, archiving, and communications with distributed control systems, data historians, and enterprise-wide data systems. Among the Axiom Analytical product lines that have found widespread acceptance in chemical and pharmaceutical processing are its fiber-optic coupled near-IR transmission probes, fiber-optic multiplexers, diffuse reflectance probes, Raman probes, and mid-IR diamond ATR (attenuated total reflectance) probes.

One of the key factors that have led to the success of these products, is a high level of robustness brought about by the Company’s patented window sealing technique. This employs high nickel alloy metal seals in a permanently welded structure, providing virtually unlimited service life, even in the presence of aggressive chemicals, high temperatures, thermal shock, and extreme pressures.
