Axiomtek announces IPC122-833-FL computer for Substations
The IPC122-833-FL is certified by IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards for electric power substation automation.

November 11, 2013 - Axiomtek’s 1U rackmount fanless embedded system IPC122-833-FL has dual core Intel Atom processor N2800 and is designed as all-in-one mission-critical industrial grade computer which enables users to deploy power plant solution quickly and efficiently The IPC122-833-FL, is certified by IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards for electric power substation automation. The outstanding 1U rackmount industrial-grade computer system supports fanless operation and dual core Intel Atom processor N2800 as well as isolated CANBus, multiple isolated LAN ports, isolated COM ports and isolated DIO ports.

Axiomtek’s new IPC122-833-FL hardened system offers wide range operating temperature from -10°C to +60°C and supports 130~370 VDC and 85~264 VAC wide range power input for mission-critical or unconstrained thermal environments, such as: electric power substation, condition monitoring, transportation, factory automation and more. With IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards, the powerful yet reliable industrial system gives well protection and protocol for communications networks in substations. Designed by standard 19” rack mounting with a height of 1U and a depth of 300mm, the hardware device provides slim mechanism for harsh and space-limited environment. It has very scalable memory architecture of DDR3-800/1066 MHz SO-DIMM maximum up to 4 GB capacity.

This unit supports one 2.5” SATA HDD and one onboard CFast socket for storage space. Moreover, the IPC122-833-FL is protected by a heavy-duty rugged steel housing. For efficient system monitoring, this computer provides the LED indicators for power status, Gigabit Ethernet, Digital I/O, Serial ports and HDD activity as well.

Its rich I/O features include ten isolated COM ports (two RS-232, eight RS-232/422/485), four Gigabit Ethernet ports, six high-speed USB 2.0 ports, one VGA port and one isolated DIO port (4-IN / 4-OUT). Main Features:

  • IEC 61850-3 / IEEE 1613 certificated 1U rackmount fanless embedded system for electric power substation automation
  • Supports dual core Intel Atom™ processor N2800 1.86 GHz
  • One DDR3-800/1066 MHz SO-DIMM socket supports up to 4 GB
  • Supports one 2.5” SATA HDD and one CFast socket
  • Supports isolated CANBus, ten isolated COM ports (two RS-232, eight RS-232/422/485), four isolated 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports and one isolated DIO (4-in / 4-out)
  • Supports 130~370 VDC and 85~264 VAC wide range power input
  • Wide operating temperature of -10°C ~ +60°C
