October 27, 2008 -- AXIOMTEK announced the SBC86834 Mini ITX motherboard incorporating the Intel 945GC Express chipset, designed for today's demanding applications such as industrial automation and network security. Powered by the Intel 945GC Express chipset with 82801GB I/O Controller Hub 7 (ICH7/ICH7R), the cost-effective SBC86834 is designed with a LGA775 socket for Intel Core 2 Duo, Pentium D, Pentium 4 or Celeron D processor with a 533/800 MT/S front side bus. The integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics core provides outstanding graphics performance without the need for a separate graphics card.Aside from CRT (2048 x 1536) support, the SBC86834 has high performance DVI (1600 x 1200) connection and a connector for 24-bit dual channel LVDS (1600 x 1200) displays.
It also supports Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT) 3.0 with a video memory up to 224 MB. An onboard Realtek ALC203 codec chip supports 2-channel AC’97 audio features. To satisfy expansion capability requirement for industrial application needs, the SBC86834 comes with one PCIe x4 slot and two Serial ATA 300 MB/s connectors. Two 240-pin DIMM sockets can support up to 2 GB of DDR2 533/667 SDRAM.
LAN functionality is provided by a Realtek RTL8111B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller.With a compact 6.7" x 6.7" size, the space-efficient Mini ITX motherboard features rich connectivity including six powered COM ports (RS-232), six Hi-speed USB 2.0 ports, dual Gigabit LAN ports via PCIe x1 interface, one PCIe x4 slot, two SATA ports, one CompactFlash Type II socket(Optional), PS/2 ports, AC’97 audio, and Digital I/O.
The SBC86834 will be available in early November.
