Foothill Ranch, Calif., Sept. 9, 2005 — Bal Seal Engineering, provider of industry–leading solutions that incorporate material science and canted–coil spring technology, announces that its new M–Series (molded contact products) will be a highlight of the company's product display at upcoming medical device/manufacturing tradeshows and conferences.The patented M-Series product, with its implantable molded housing, is designed to simplify assembly and cut costs in medical electronics manufacturing.Bal Seal also will be exhibiting a host of other innovative products at the tradeshows and conferences:BalConn™ Electrical Connecting Technologies — Featuring small medical contacts activated with our patented canted–coil spring, BalConn™ products are widely used in implanted medical electronics devices with lead sizes from 0.020 in (0.51 mm).

The spring provides near–constant force over a wide deflection range, ensuring constant mechanical and electrical contact. Housing materials include 316L, MP35N® and Titanium Grade 5. Spring materials include MP35N® and Pt-lr 80/20. Bal Seal KC31X Seal Series — Incorporating a metal–locking–ring retention system, and resistant to surgical, sterilization and oral fluids plus bearing grease, the KC31X Series is used in medical devices such as orthopedic burring tools and dental hand drills. PTFE Rotary Seal Line — With its five major design profiles, this line of compact rotary seals is designed to cover an array of operating PV conditions in analytical device applications.

A patented canted–coil design increases seal performance/life, while a metal retaining ring enables secure, low–insertion force installation.
