July 8, 2020 — Banner Engineering has introduced its Occupancy Monitoring System for safe social distancing. Part of their full suite of Safe Work Solutions, Occupancy Monitoring was developed for retail businesses to operate while adhering to safe social distancing guidelines. This automated solution uses optical sensors to count patrons as they enter or exit a store, breakrooms, or bathrooms and tally them against a programmed capacity threshold. Visual indicators signal capacity alerts in familiar green/yellow/red lights or via a networked device.
The Occupancy Monitoring System allows businesses the capability to use the data to track peak traffic trends for better scheduling and purchasing metrics. Installation does not require alterations to the building infrastructure. Additional cloud reporting options available.
