1 min read

bannerengineering.com—July 11, 2005—Banner Engineering has introduced the extraordinarily accurate LT7 long-range time-of-flight laser sensors, available in two models: retroreflective and diffuse. The retroreflective model has an extremely long range of 250 m. The diffuse model features a range up to 10 m for a white target, up to 7 m for a gray target and up to 3 m for a black target. To eliminate cumbersome potentiometer adjustments, both models have TEACH-mode programming using either integrated push-buttons or a serial interface.

A visible pilot laser makes accurate alignment fast and easy.Key features include the following:

  • Multiple outputs: --Discrete outputs for precision background suppression --Alarm outputs with on-board LCD displayfor easy troubleshooting
  • Ongoing LCD display of sensing distance in millimeters or hundredths of an inch
  • RS422- or SSI-compatible serial connection options
  • Excellent +/- 10 mm linearity
  • Quick warmup to minimize drift
  • For the retroreflective model: --Extremely long range, ideal for automated storage and retrieval applications --+/- 2 mm resolution --Two discrete (PNP) and two alarm outputs
  • For the diffuse model: --Dark-color performance, ideal for automotive applications --+/- 4 mm resolution --Two discrete (PNP) and two alarm outputs, and 4-20 mA analog output For additional information, Contact Banner or visit www.bannerengineering.com/lt7
