August 2, 2011 — Robert H. Chapman, Chairman and CEO of Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Jones to the position of Vice President of Corporate Development. In this role, Jones will contribute his broad range of industry knowledge, leadership and extensive operating experience toward enhancing the continued growth of the Barry-Wehmiller family of companies as a global leader in the design and manufacture of capital equipment and related services.

“Dan has had an exceptional career through HayssenSandiacre, and his achievements in building a foundation for the next generation of leadership have been exemplary,” Chapman said. “In the course of his career journey, Dan has grown to have a deep appreciation and knowledge of other senior leaders and companies in the packaging industry, and he will continue to leverage this experience to create new opportunities for the continued future growth of Barry-Wehmiller.”

As CEO of HayssenSandiacre, a Barry-Wehmiller company specializing in vertical and horizontal flexible packaging equipment solutions, Jones has successfully transitioned a new leadership team under Mike May, who was appointed president of the company effective January 1. Jones will formally retire from his HayssenSandiacre career on September 30 after 35 years dedicated to developing one of the world’s largest and most successful packaging machinery businesses.

With thousands of installed machines in more than 50 countries and nearly every geographic market, HayssenSandiacre has leveraged technological innovation, packaging systems expertise and carefully nurtured customer relationships to become a globally recognized leader in advanced form/fill/seal technology and services.

“Our first 100 years was incredibly challenging and rewarding for our global network of team members, and our next 100 years will be even more exciting,” Jones said. “Barry-Wehmiller has provided a platform for professional growth within a unique people-centric

culture, and while our team members have realized outstanding financial achievements, the most enduring aspect of the Barry-Wehmiller legacy is the creation of a culture that truly measures success by the way we touch the lives of people.”
