With the addition of the BX, customers can program with one open Software package, choose from over 100 different I/O signals and stock one type of I/O for all their various machine types. The BX Controller fills a gap for the low to mid range machine control. The IP20 rated BX is positioned between the IP20 rated BC and CX controllers in both price and functionality. All Beckhoff controllers use the same type of proven low cost Bus Terminal I/O modules. The complete line of Beckhoff controllers, including high end PC based systems, are programmed with the same TwinCAT IEC1131-3 PLC and Motion software.
For low end machines, Beckhoff also offers the industries first IP67 micro PLC by taking the BC brains and putting it inside the Fieldbus PLC Box. The IP67 Fieldbus PLC box also includes a Profibus slave port, built-in 4 DI and 4 DO, and optional I/O expansion modules.
