June 27, 2022 - Bentley Systems , the infrastructure engineering software company, announced it was named a 2022 honoree of the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia by the Philadelphia Foundation in partnership with Points of Light and local partners. The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia provides a standard for corporate citizenship and showcases how employers, such as Bentley, use their time, skills, and resources to drive social impact within their communities and their company. Just one example of Bentley’s outreach to local nonprofit organizations includes its work with the Chester County Food Bank. The alliance began in 2009 and ramped up even further in 2014 when the Chester County Food Bank moved into the same complex where Bentley is headquartered.

In 2021, Bentley granted the Chester County Food Bank $150,000 and asked for the funds to be used for a community match challenge. The inaugural Sustaining Community $150,000 Grant Challenge was successful, with Bentley Systems matching 450 contributions helping to raise $367,746 in 60 days. “Bentley is committed to making the world a better place to live by continuing to invest in our corporate citizenry, which starts with our own colleagues whose dedication and civic engagement strengthens our communities,” said Angela Curry, vice president and chief compliance officer with Bentley Systems.

“We are honored to be recognized among the top community-minded organizations in the Philadelphia region, and we will continue to uphold our core values to guide our actions in helping to create a better future for our community.” Pedro Ramos, president and chief executive officer of the Philadelphia Foundation, said, “We are proud to recognize Bentley’s outstanding civic engagement and how they have demonstrated great passion and dedication to making a meaningful impact in the communities it serves. This type of commitment sets a standard for corporate stewardship. We are pleased to bestow this honor on Bentley and congratulate them for positively impacting its community.”

Natalye Paquin, president and chief executive officer of Points of Light, said, “We believe that corporate leadership and commitment to civic engagement is critical to strengthening communities. Bentley exemplifies that vision and that is why it has been named among the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia honorees. Bentley’s inclusiveness and comprehensive approach to corporate citizenship, as well as their responsiveness to reflect, learn from each other, and respond to community needs, make the Greater Philadelphia region a better place for all. We are so pleased to recognize them for taking their civic responsibility seriously and for the role they play in shaping their communities.”

The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia honorees were recognized on June 23 at a celebratory event at the AmerisourceBergen corporate headquarters in Conshohocken, Pa. To learn more about the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia and honorees, please visit the website.
