820 field-attachable connectors now accept wire sizes up to 14 AWG.

September 30, 2009 - Binder-USA added 7/8” cable connectors with 2.5mm terminal cross-section capacity to the Series 820 field-attachable connectors. The increase in terminal size now accepts wire sizes up to 14 AWG. With the larger terminal size the 7/8” connectors are well suited for a variety of Fieldbus and Ethernet network applications. The 7/8” connectors are offered with 5 gold-plated contacts in male and female versions with straight and right-angle options.

Cables up to 14mm in diameter can be connected to straight versions and up to 12mm cables can be connected to right-angle versions. Wires are attached with screw-type terminals. When properly mated the connectors are IP67-rated assuring the connection is protected from liquids and debris.

To make the system complete, mating front-mounted receptacles are offered with pre-attached wires.Binder-USA, LP is a subsidiary of Franz Binder GmbH & Co., a German-based designer and manufacturer of circular connectors and cordsets for use in industrial environments including factory automation, process control, and medical technology applications.
