CABA and AEE will establish forums about energy and intelligent buildings for regulatory organizations, energy service providers, and building automation vendors.

November 11, 2012 - The Continental Automated Buildings Association and the Association of Energy Engineers will establish forums for a timely and open exchange of information and establish vehicles for engaging a broad array of stakeholders including the utility industry, regulatory organizations, energy service providers, building automation vendors, telecommunication firms, information technology vendors, consumer groups and government organizations.

CABA is an international not-for-profit industry association dedicated to the advancement of intelligent home and building technologies. The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is an organization dedicated to the dynamic fields of energy engineering and energy management, renewable and alternative energy, power generation, energy services, and sustainability.

"The objective of the Association of Energy Engineers is to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for sustainable development," said Al Thumann, Executive Director at the Association of Energy Engineers. "We are pleased to be working with CABA to expand the research of our industry and our membership in the home and building automation space."

As a growing professional association, AEE's overall strength is augmented by its strong membership base of over 16,000 professionals in 89 countries and its widely recognized energy certification programs. Its network of 82 local chapters located throughout the U.S. and abroad meet regularly to discuss issues of regional importance.

"CABA is extremely excited to sign an cooperation agreement with the Association of Energy Engineers," said Ronald J. Zimmer, CABA President & CEO. "One of the most important functions of CABA is to educate industry stakeholders and consumers about the advantages of intelligent buildings which incorporate green, energy-efficient technology. We believe our agreement with AEE will lead to a stronger educated workforce."
