SO. ST. PAUL, Minn. – January 7, 2008 - Digital Angel's Clifford and Snell division, a manufacturer of industrial and hazardous area audible and visual alarm products, is expanding its business to the U.S.

Trevor Gage, Director and General Manager of Clifford and Snell, said, “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Hausman as Business Development Manager for the U.S. Phil will be responsible for establishing a Clifford and Snell sales office in Houston, which will be our U.S. base of operations.

Phil will be the conduit for growth in sales and service with existing customers while offering new customers the opportunity to access our extensive product range with U.S. -based support.

We believe the success the company has achieved in key markets such as the Far East, Middle East and Scandinavia can also be attained in the U.S., with little up-front investment required.” Hausman comes to Clifford and Snell with an extensive knowledge of the oil/gas and petrochemical markets and has particular experience in the areas of offshore and industrial applications.

According to Gage, “Phil brings considerable technical expertise and a wealth of knowledge within U.S. markets, which will assist Clifford and Snell to provide an exceptional level of service and commitment to customers. As the global requirements for power increase, and the investment in the oil and gas industry continues to gain momentum, Clifford and Snell is well positioned for substantial growth.” Clifford and Snell’s products are renowned for their innovative design and high performance for applications which range from general signaling and fire, including hazardous areas, to process control and marine, as well as commercial use in building and construction.
