CMR Group launches Process Automation division in the Philippines

Trading as CMRP Automation Inc., the operation will be based in Makati City, Manila providing design, engineering support, installation and commissioning services to the process industries sector in the Philippines, Singapore and SEA region.

May 20, 2016 - Control, instrumentation and electrical engineering specialist CMR Group has launched its new Process Automation Division to the meet the demand for industrial automation systems and technical expertise in South East Asia.

Trading as CMRP Automation Inc., the operation will be based in Makati City, Manila providing design, engineering support, installation and commissioning services to the process industries sector in the Philippines, Singapore and SEA region.

Headed-up by general manager Rojel Rivera, the firm will be primarily engaged in industrial automation and low/medium voltage MCC and electrical system integration with a focus on industry wide issues such as remote access, industrial network security and wireless communications.

CMRP has secured work from local customers in the cement, food and beverage, mining, power and pharmaceutical sectors.

Currently employing a 13 strong-team supported by sub-contractors, Rojel Rivera sees the expansion on the back of further technology introductions: the integration of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and technology platforms to meet the industrial security needs of customers.

He added: “The Philippines is a key market for industrial automation engineering services”.

Working to support Rojel Rivera will be Lindsey Salilig, business development manager, and Zavior Kulandasamy and Nelson Yeap from CMR Far East.

CMRP’s knowledge in industry-specific applications includes ISA-88 compliant batch engineering experience and specialised platform libraries (Siemens PCS 7 CEMAT, Braumat and Route Control). The new Philippines operation is part of CMR Group, which supplies instrumentation and controls for offshore platforms and vessels, marine, engines and industrial applications.
