Computer Aided Solutions Introduces New Internet-ready Temperature and Humidity Data Loggers

CHESTERLAND, OH – May 19, 2005 - Computer Aided Solutions has introduced the new TR-70W Series of Internet-ready Data Loggers. This new product family includes compact temperature and humidity data loggers with built-in 10/100 base-TX Ethernet, a CF slot for a wireless 802.11b card, and a micro-web server. They are ideal for applications that require monitoring or collecting data from remote locations. The TR-70W Data Loggers are manufactured in Japan by market leader T&D Corporation.

The built-in web server allows viewing of current temperature and humidity data, or a graph of the last seven days worth of data, via a standard web browser. Stored data can be downloaded via an Internet browser for further analysis using the software supplied with the loggers. An internal SMTP server allows alarms to be sent to up to five email or cell phone addresses whenever preset limits are exceeded. The TR-70W Series of Data Loggers are available in two models, each with its own LCD display:

  • TR-71W with 2 channels of temperature measurement
  • TR-72W with a combined external temperature and relative humidity sensor These units can operate over a range of -40 to +80 °C and feature up to 16,000 points of internal data storage.

Using an external sensor, the TR-71W can measure temperatures from -60 to +155 °C.

For power, they utilize a plug-in AC adapter while connected to the network and a have a lithium battery that provides up to 3 months of data back-up.The TR-70W Data Loggers start at less than $500.
